wearing now :: chasing prints & rain

When I woke up at 645 am today, I looked out at the window and saw that it was raining!

As any normal person (unless you're in a desert or experiencing drought), I don't typically embrace this kind of weather. Not especially so on a sleepy morning, only to realise the bed and your blanket seems so much more comfortable than any other day. *yawn*

I wasn't detered by the rain

I pushed the negativity and think it of it as a way I could dress up to the weather. Unfortunately, I get cold really easily so I have to wear more layers. I like to wear my thick opaque stockings to keep warm. The air-con temperature in my office can be really low.

I love this mint printed dress which I bought close to 2 years back. I especially adore the tribal prints! The only problem I had with this dress was the fitting. It was slightly roomy on the sleeves and the torso area. I had been wanting to alter this dress; but I never got to.

Maybe one of these days now...

To bring out the hint of mint in this dress, I accessorized with the gold with mint details on my rings and bracelet. I wore black oxford shoes and black belt to contrast the soft feminine feel of this outfit with an edgier and tough detail.

TGIF :: Stripes & Roses

Happy Friday!

Loving these oriental bangles from F21

Went shopping with my sister Rachel today at Forever 21, Mango, Zara & H&M.

These are the stores I frequently shop at to get my wardrobe some clothes-lovin'.

The stores were all having end-of-season sale and summer style pieces can go off at 70%. I don't really shop too often now due to my 8 to 5 job schedule which can be a good thing, right?

Tried on some outfits from the stores to see how they would fit me. Normally for F21, I would get clothigns with size XS or S. As for Mango, I would go for size US '0' or '2' and as for H&M, I would settle for size 32.

loving and bought the vintage rose top
but I had to pass the nautical stripes
shorts as it was too loose on me :(

the texture for this midi is really soft and comfy which is an ideal
to-go-to dress I can use for travelling; so yes,
I bought it :D

Casual style aside, I went to look for work outfits. I love the colour combination on the picture below but F21 'S' size apparently still runs loose on me. Did not purchase this as I didn't want to risk buying something again that just won't fit me or I'm just gonna have to give away.

I bought a new pair of nude shoes and brown sandals from Charles & Keith since they were on sale too. Love the feeling of getting a good bargain!

Didn't manage to see anything nice from the other 3 stores (Mango, Zara & H&M) so we headed for Japanese dinner and went home.

 Happy weeekend!
